Meet Tim Outhit
Tim Outhit has represented Bedford at HRM Council since 2008, winning the support in his community in five consecutive elections. During his 15 years on Council, Tim has long championed housing and transportation solutions, recently winning approval for the high-speed ferry terminal in Mill Cove. Tim was born and raised in HRM. He is a graduate of Dalhousie University and has completed executive and management programs at Queen’s University, York University, and the University of Toronto. He returned to HRM in 2000 (after living and working for 13 years in Moncton, Vancouver and Toronto) to raise his family in Bedford. Tim has been married to Dr Sandra Toze since 1995. Sandra is a professor of Information Management at Dalhousie University. They have two daughters. Liz is in her third year of Medical School at Dalhousie, and Emily is completing her Masters in Resource and Environmental Management at Dalhousie.
